2º ESO B: HOMEWORK

Some resource information and material to help with unit 3.

VOCABULARY: musical instruments
a)There are many brass instruments, including the trombone, trumpet, tuba, french horn, cornet, bass trumpet.)
b) Woodwind instruments include the piccolo, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, bass clarinet, panpipes, recorder, pipe organ, and several instruments in the oboe family.

c) string instruments include the violin, viola, cello, bass, mandolin, guitar, sitar, ukulele, harp, and the banjo.
d) percussion instruments are the piano, xylophone, triangle, snare and bass drums, cymbals

KINDS OF MUSIC: rap, country, rock, disco, pop, classical, jazz, hip-hop, flamenco, reggae, blues..

*TASK for Monday Jan, 19: SPEAK ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF MUSIC: see ex. 4 p. 28. Complete with the CHARACTERISTICS OF MUSIC: see ex. 1 p- 28
    • WRITING (Tuesday Jan, 20): What kind of music do you listen to? When and Why? Say some characteristics of that music.
    • PROJECT (Thursday Jan, 22): Search for information about the music, the group, the singer you like the most; make up an illustrated poster with organised information displayed on it.
    • MONDAY, JAN 26: TEST UNIT 3 (page 36)
